ALBAWABA - Amid the start of the holy month of Ramadan, Arabs began to question whether the favourite Ramadan drink "Tang" is also part of the boycott campaign launched in support of Palestinians.

Activists started a boycott campaign against several brands and products, including McDonald's, Starbucks, Carrefour, Nestle, Puma and many more, since the start of the latest Israeli aggression against Gaz on Oct. 7.

Pro-Palestinians announced ditching all products and brands that are directly or indirectly linked to Israel amid the aggression on Gaza which left at least 31,112 killed.

Ramadan 2024: Is Tang part of boycott campaign?

Ramadan 2024 is already unusual not only in Gaza but also in the Middle East, where many people are calling to cancel outside and inside decorations in support of Palestinians in Gaza who are facing acute hunger and famine amid the lack of aid.

Many people asked online to know whether Tang is part of a boycott campaign which pro-Palestinian activists launched in favor of Palestinians in Gaza or not.

Tang is well familiar with being the main drink placed on the Ramadan table each year, as it is famous for its powdered beverage mixes, especially its popular orange-flavored drink.

According to Falasteeni website, Tang is owned by Mondelez International, Inc which supports Israel, so Tang is part of the boycott campaign launched by activists despite that it was not officially listed on the BDS boycott list, but it is included on other websites.
