ALBAWABA - Activists on social media have roasted a Palestinian news agency after it shared a video of the speech of American actress Hannah Einbinder about Palestine, but blurred the upper part of her body because it was too revealing.

During the Emmy Awards 2025, Hannah Einbinder spoke on stage and sent a strong message of support for Palestine, in addition to protesting U.S. President Donald Trump's new immigration system.

The American star said, "Finally, I just want to say: Go Birds, fuck ICE, and free Palestine." It is worth noting that the 'Hacks' star was wearing an Artists4Ceasefire pin on her dress.

Quds News Network blasted for blurring Hannah Einbinder:

According to social media activists, Palestinian news outlet "Quds News Network" shared the speech of Hannah Einbinder, but it censored the actress' shoulders, chest and arms.

Quds News posted on X on Monday morning, "Hannah Einbinder explains that her decision to say ‘Free Palestine’ during her Emmys acceptance speech came from her belief that, as a Jewish person, she has a responsibility to distinguish Judaism and Jewish culture from the ethnonationalist project of the Israeli state".

Ihab Hassan, the Director of Human Rights Project, wrote on X, "Quds News Network—a pathetic joke of an outlet—deleted the post where they blurred Hannah Einbinder’s shoulders."

Another person commented on the topic, "This is how the Arab Qods News Network shared Hannah Einbinder's 'Free Palestine' message. Hey Hannah, the people you scream on behalf of think so little of your rights as a woman that they CENSOR your entire upper body. Are you proud of yourself?"

In response to the huge fuss Quds News Network has caused on social media, the Palestinian media outlet deleted the post on Monday morning and reshared it without blurring Hannah Einbinder's body.
