ALBAWABA - Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee posted on Sunday multiple videos of an alleged arrest of Hezbollah members in southern Lebanon as the Israeli army continues to attempt to penetrate inside Lebanon.

He posted photos; one for an alleged Hezbollah member and another showing a tunnel, and wrote: "'Come on, get out before your life is lost' - IDF captures Hezbollah operative holed up in an underground compound in southern Lebanon."

Avichay Adraee added on the video caption: "During IDF activity in the southern Lebanon area, an underground tunnel opening was found inside a building leading to a terrorist hideout with an adjacent exit opening."

He maintained: "The forces imposed a cordon on the building, searched the tunnel opening and found an underground complex about 7 meters deep in which a terrorist belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization was entrenched, along with combat means and equipment designed to remain for a long period.

After the terrorist surrendered and was arrested, the fighters interrogated him in the field and then transferred him to a detention facility for further investigation inside Israeli territory."

Thousands of comments filled the posts made by the Israeli army with many people saying that the photo and video are not likely in Lebanon.

Some activists speculated that the water bottles that appeared in the footage are not being sold in Lebanon and this is a "clear hint" that it is not in Lebanon.

On the other hand, a source told RT that the "incident is incorrect and the published video is very old."

Furthermore, a person on X posted a screenshot from the Reddit website showing the same video shared twice; once on March 28, 2024, and another on October 7, 2023.
