ALBAWABA - A Niger protester have sparked massive discussion on social media after rallying while carrying the North Korean flag.
In a photo that has gone viral online, a pro-junta protester in Niger raised the North Korean flag igniting dozens of question marks against the man.
Since the Niger coup on July 26 against President Mohamed Bazoum, some citizens have joined rallies supporting the junta which is calling for an end to French interference in Niger's internal matters.
Niger coup leaders led by Gen Abdourahamane Tchiani gave French Ambassador in Niger a 48-hour deadline to leave the country.
Many people protested in front of the French embassy in the capital Niamey threatening to storm the embassy if the ambassador refused to leave the country.
Protesters chanted anti-French slogans and asked not only the French embassy workers to leave the country but also demanded the withdrawal of French troops and the put an end to French military presence in Niger.
Protesters in Niger have been carrying Russian flags since the military coup in Niger in late July, and a while ago some raised the North Korean flag.
A person commented on X: "North Korean flags have made a debut in the Niger, joining the Russian flags."
