ALBAWABA - Last week, a series of mysterious drones were spotted on top of New Jersey raising speculations about who sent them or where they came from. Now, the same drones were reportedly spotted above the US Capitol in Washington DC deepening the mystery behind them.
By the time of writing this article, the purpose of these mysterious drones remains unclear but former US officials are allegedly expressing their concern and calling for immediate action regarding them.
A source in the Pentagon refuted the claim that the drones spotted in New Jersey were sent by Iran using a "mothership" off the East Coast. Spokesperson Sabrina Singh said: "There is no truth to that."

As social media users took to Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter) to share the news in question, other sources claimed that the drones were a regular aircraft approaching Washington DC's Reagan National Airport, according to a website called Flight Aware.
On the other hand, Infowars owner Alex Jones took to his official X account and claimed that the drones in question are Pentagon-controlled anti-missile defense systems launched as an answer towards Putin and Russia's hypersonic ballistic missile.
On the contrary, American journalist and lawyer, Gordon Chang said that the drones spotted in New Jersey and now the US Capitol appear to be sophisticated and not the work of an amateur, as reported by The Daily Mail.
He said, "These activities are too large and well-organized to be the work of hobbyists".
