ALBAWABA - Tesla CEO and the owner of X (formerly Twitter) Elon Musk has been the center of mockery since yesterday during his visit to Israel over his bulletproof vest.
Musk landed in Israel and met with both Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He also saw families of hostages held in Gaza.
During his visit, the SpaceX CEO was also taken for a tour by Netanyahu to the site where Hamas fighters were on Oct. 7 when they launched the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.
The visit came after the American billionaire was accused of endorsing an antisemitic post. During his trip to Israel, he announced his commitment to take all necessary measures to stop the spread of hatred.
However, Elon Musk's visit to Israel has taken the internet by storm as X owner was spotted with Netanyahu wearing his bulletproof vest in a funny way while rounding the kibbutz.
A social media user wrote: "Musk appeared to be wearing an inappropriate bulletproof vest and became the subject of ridicule at his X-stand."
"Is Elon Musk wearing a baby-size bulletproof vest?" another person mocked the billionaire.
Pro-Palestinian activists have decried Elon Musk's visit to only Israeli sites and urged the American businessman to head to Gaza. The hashtag "#ElonGoToGaza" has been trending on X platform as Musk was asked to show sympathy with the Palestinians being targeted by Israel.
Gaza health authorities reported that the death toll in the Israel attacks on the Gaza Strip has reached 14,854 Palestinians, including 6,150 children and over 4,000 women.
