ALBAWABA - Reports claiming that Hamas political leader Yahya Sinwar was killed in a targeted bombing on Gaza have been refuted by Hebrew news sites. No such occurrence took place, according to the Israeli website "Walla," which cited the Shin Bet security organization.

According to reports from Israeli media earlier today, an inquiry was conducted to find out whether Sinwar had perished in one of the most recent airstrikes on Gaza. "Maariv" and the state-run channel "Kan" both reported that an investigation had been opened by Israeli authorities.

Security authorities, cited by Channel 12, denied the allegations, saying that "these assessments are baseless and lack any credible evidence." At the same time, Israeli Army Radio said, "There is no intelligence suggesting Yahya Sinwar has been injured or killed, though some speculate he may have been assassinated due to his lack of communication with Israel for an extended period."

The report also pointed out that Sinwar had not died since he had been quiet during early stages of the combat.
