ALBAWABA - A young Iraqi boy was saved from the hands of his "monster" father who is addicted to drugs by authorities.
According to local Iraqi media, a 10-year-old boy was saved from his father's hands who has been abusing him for a long time.
Photos were shared on social media showing the young Iraqi boy chained from the ceiling. The response by Iraqi police came under its regulations to end cases of domestic violence and in response to an appeal received by the Family and Child Protection Department on the Karkh side of Baghdad.
Iraq has formed a team of specialists and entered the house of the abuser where he keeps his son hanged and chained, freed the boy and arrested his father.
Investigations uncovered that the father of the Iraqi boy is a drug addict as various narcotic substances were seized from his home, as well as a Kalashnikov rifle and ammunition.
Noting that a week ago, an Iraqi boy died after being tortured at the hands of his stepmother who stabbed him several times. The story of Mousa Walaa has taken the internet by storm after the boy was found dead inside the house.
Human rights activists are now calling for harsh punishment against those who are abusing their kids.
