ALBAWABA - Israeli girl group "I Butterfly" is facing global backlash among pro-Palestine activists over their debut music video, which featured a building exploding.
The activists linked the scene to real hospitals and houses in Gaza that were previously bombed by Israel during the two-year war.
According to Ynet News, I Butterfly consists of four members and was founded by Israeli talent agent Roberto Ben Shushan. Their debut single, "Mi Ata" (Who Are You), was released this week across several platforms, but it didn't receive the positive reaction the group had hoped for.

The music video, which was posted on YouTube, was flooded with negative comments from people who described the song as a "parody" with AI-generated lyrics and a "cheap" imitation of K-pop. Additionally, other YouTube users filled the comment section with "Free Palestine" and "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free."
A YouTube user wrote, "This sounds so good on mute." Another social media user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "What could be more Israeli than four white girls dancing terribly to soulless music while a building explodes behind them?"
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli aggression on Gaza has caused the killing of over 69,000 Palestinians and the injuring of more than 170,000.
Additionally, Al Jazeera reported that 125 hospitals and clinics were damaged and that nearly all homes were destroyed or damaged from the constant bombardment.
