Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar didn't eat for 72 hours before being killed

ALBAWABA - Former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is the talk of Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter) after news circulated about his autopsy results shared by Quds News Network and Israeli media. 

It showcased that Yahya Sinwar allegedly didn't eat any food for the past 72 hours before being killed by Israeli soldiers while fighting in Gaza. 

The report said, "The results of the autopsy of Yahya Sinwar's body showed that he did not eat anything during the last 72 hours before his death."

On Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, news about the assassination of Hamas' former leader shocked social media and news outlets. His assassination was first shared by Israeli media and later confirmed by Hamas a day after the incident took place. 

Sinwar was killed fighting for Gaza against the occupation of Israel in Tal as-Sultan neighborhood, as reported by Al-Jazeera. Users across social media took to comments sections featuring posts debating the matter in question. Here's what they had to say: 

"Real freedom fighter. He believed. God bless his soul".

"I thought Hamas was supposedly ‘stealing’ all of the humanitarian aid?" A user said sarcastically in response to the matter. 

"They lie and lie and lie. It’s just all lies with Israel. Sadistic gaslighting psychos."

Hamas announced on Oct. 7, 2023, a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel making it the biggest offensive by the group in decades.

Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip, captured military bases, and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel while others were seen paragliding into occupation territory.

In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

By the time of writing this article, Israel has resulted in the killing of more than 43,000 Palestinians and the injuring of at least 102,000 including women and children amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023.
