ALBAWABA - A street billboard in King Faisal in Giza Governorate was hacked displaying pictures and slogans that criticize Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Residents of the King Faisal area were shocked after seeing the billboard hacked and projecting anti-Sisi slogans. According to eyewitnesses and video clips circulated online the incident took place on Sunday night.
A video clip suddenly appeared on the screen containing images criticizing El-Sisi, while dozens of citizens gathered in front of the billboard.
Among the displayed pictures, a photo of El-Sisi was seen with the sentence: "Does he think that no one will be able to defeat him?", in another image, a cartoon drawing of El-Sisi as a "thief" was seen on the billboard.
Nonetheless, the Egyptian Network for Human Rights reported that it had noticed an intensive deployment of Egyptian security forces in the Giza Governorate following the hack of the screen.
Furthermore, many witnesses said to the human rights organization that they were questioned by the Egyptian authorities. However, the network was not able to get the names of people who were held by police.
