ALBAWABA - Since Israel's announcement that the air defense intercepted a "suspicious aerial target" in the sky of Eilat, social media users began to release their own inspections regarding the incident.
Many people online claimed that the "suspicious aerial target" was fire along with missile strikes from Egypt's Sinai.
Many following the rumor claimed that the Eilat incident could be related in an indirect way to the Egyptian smugglers' incident which took place near the border with Israel.
The Israeli army revealed around 20 suspects attempted to smuggle narcotics into Israel. However, troops engaged in a gun battle with the suspects, injuring several of them.
Many online users allegedly said on Thursday that the "suspicious aerial target" was fired by members of the same smuggling gang.
On the other hand, many others claimed that missiles were allegedly fired from Sinai by Farouq Brigades.
However, Israel clarified that the "suspicious aerial target" headed towards Israel from the Red Sea with initial claims said it might be carried out by the Houthi group in Yemen.
