ALBAWABA - US President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 20, with the presence of many former US Presidents in addition to many world leaders. But will Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attend the event?

Many social media users doubted whether Zelensky would attend Trump's inauguration ceremony in Washington D.C. highlighting that the President-elect hinted at cutting off military aid for Ukraine and mediating in reaching an agreement between Russia and Ukraine to end the over 2 years of war.

Amid uncertainty about whether Zelensky was invited to the event in the US or not, Donald Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., took to his official Instagram account to mock the Ukrainian leader.

First, Zelensky already spoke in an interview with American podcaster Lex Fridman in early January that he won't be able to travel to the US to attend the ceremony of President-elect Trump.

He said: "I can’t come especially during the war, unless President Trump invites me personally."

Yesterday, Trump Jr. posted on his account mocking President Zelensky and saying that he requested an invitation from Trump to attend the ceremony next Monday three times. But he was rejected.

Trump Jr. wrote: "The funniest part is that he asked for an invite like three times unofficially, and each time got turned down." "Now he’s acting like he decided not to go himself, 'a weirdo.'"
