ALBAWABA - US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky's latest verbal altercation at the White House is still the main talk of the social media.
Zelensky paid an official visit to the White House where he met Donald Trump and his Vice President JD Vance, the two had a small verbal altercation at the Oval Office on Feb. 28, which descended into a shouting match as the US President and Vance accused Zelensky of being "disrespectful and ungrateful" for the aid the US is sending to Ukraine.
The Ukrainian President left the US without signing a planned minerals deal.
Did Trump eat Zelensky's lunch after their dispute?
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in an interview with Fox News that President Trump enjoyed a meal prepared for his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky after canceling the joint lunch following their heated verbal altercation.
She said "The president enjoyed lunch. "Today he had Zelensky's lunch, literally and figuratively."
On the other hand, after Zelensky left the White House without signing a plan amid his dispute with Trump and Vance, a Fox News report reportedly said the planned lunch between the two leaders was "left untouched".
The reporter added that the White House staffers ate the lunch instead. Reporter Jacqui Heinrich revealed the meal remained in the hallway after Zelensky’s abrupt exit.
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino revealed the menu for the lunch that Zelensky's Ukrainian delegation was supposed to attend, adding it included grilled chicken with rosemary, with a green salad containing tomatoes, cabbage and asparagus. Dessert was scheduled to include crème brûlée, mixed berries and citrus cookies.
