ALBAWABA - US President Joe Biden, 81, made a significant error that brought attention to the ongoing story about his memory. When speaking about NATO members at an event, Biden made the error of confusing the two Scandinavian countries, Finland and Norway.

In an attempt to correct Norway for Finland, Biden said, "Including Sweden and Norway, you expanded NATO and its borders," continuing a string of previous blunders in language.

Speaking to supporters at a Reno, Nevada, campaign event, Biden mentioned a recent discussion he had with former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.

Recounting their conversation, Biden emphasized Sweden's and Finland's recent admittance as new NATO members. According to reports, Kissinger thanked Biden for "strengthening NATO like never before," voicing assurance that it will have a revolutionary effect.

But when narrating this story, Biden erred and confused Finland with Norway. He incorrectly identified Norway, which has been a member of NATO since its founding on April 4, 1949, while Finland joined the organization on April 4, 2023. "By including Sweden and Norway, you expanded NATO and its borders," he said.

Biden's latest verbal blunder adds to a string of comparable ones, raising questions about his mental abilities. During his investigation into Biden's possible possession of secret papers at his home and office last week, Special Prosecutor Robert Hur described Biden's memory as "weak and clouded."
