ALBAWABA - A leaked video circulating on X (formerly Twitter) of Columbia University's Vice President Gerry Rosberg not responding to the question "Are Palestinians human?" caused anger among pro-Palestine and human rights activists.
The leaked video in question was first shared by Columbia Students for Justice in Palestine on X and across their official social media accounts as they stated that Gerry Rosberg thought of the question as "intimidating" when asked if Palestinians are human.
He added that he "refuses to be intimidated by such questions". On Nov. 2023, Columbia News reported that the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) were suspended from the university. The decision came from Gerald Rosberg.

When asked the question, the man responded in silence further angering the activists and users as they stated that "human rights is something every human on this planet deserves no matter where they come from and Palestinians are no different".
Users on X took to the comment section to express their feelings about the matter, here's what they had to say:
"This was the easiest "yes" that someone could possibly state, AND YET..."
"Jesus Christ. The rot runs so deep in US academia, it beggars belief".
"The simple answer is that he doesn't. Disgraceful!"
