McDonald's shares fell sharply following the boycott announcement. However, Arab branches released statements claiming that McDonald's companies in the Arab countries are 100 percent belong to Arab investors.

Furthermore, McDonald's was not the only one being boycotted by Arabs, social media users were also shocked to see the statement made by the Walt Disney Company confirming the donation of $2 million to "humanitarian efforts" in Israel.

A social media user wrote: "Muslims all around the world must boycott Disney's business chain now."
Another person said: "Disney and McDonald's are participating in murdering Palestinian people too, this world will end soon cause everyone is ignoring the truth and supporting the devils."
A netizen shared a list of companies that are said to be supporting Israel, including Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Starbucks and many others and called Arabs and pro-Palestinian activists to boycott them as well.
So far, the death toll in Gaza has jumped to 2,329 with over 9,000 injured in continued Israeli assaults on the Gaza Strip since last Saturday.
