"Al Dumari" gives Basem Yakhour a Damascus homecoming

The man is back in business in his hometown. Syrian star Basem Yakhour is sojourning his way to the capital city of his homeland to film the scenes for his new drama "Al Dumari". The actor has snagged the leading role in the Damascus historical fiction show directed by Saif Al Din Subaie, who has experience in both acting and directing.

According to Sayidaty.net, the new drama take place in the 1890s and sheds light on the events that took place during the period. Historical and social events are merged together in an entangling story written by Uthman Haja and Suleiman Abdel Aziz.

All this Syrian drama, doesn't mean he's leaving Egypt behind in the dust. He's still starring in "Al Murafa'a" (The Trial) alongside renowned Egyptian actor Farouq Al Fishawi. The drama is written by Tamer Abdel Minem and directed by Hazem Foudah.
