ALBAWABA - 47 Israelis were stranded in Bosnia on Sunday after their passports ended up mistakenly in the trash, with hotel staff accidentally discarding them, according to Ynet.

The Israeli tourists told Ynet, "We’ve been forced to stay at the hotel for another 48 hours, maybe longer." They added, "We fear we could be stuck here for more than a week."

Recent CCTV footage captured the passports reportedly slipping from the hotel's reception desk into the trash, which were later picked up and disposed of by sanitation workers. While Bosnian authorities deemed the incident accidental, some Israeli tourists were suspicious, suspecting that the incident wasn't accidental.

One of the Israelis said, "This is very strange. How can someone throw away passports? We suspect the passports were discarded because they carried the Israeli emblem. We demand a clear explanation."

The Israeli Foreign Ministry stated, "The matter is known and is being handled by the Department for Israelis in Distress Abroad and Israel’s embassy in Belgrade."
