Yemen's oldest person, Mohammed Abd al-Dhura, has died at the age of 120 after a life which spanned three centuries, newspapers reported on Thursday.
A 50-year-old grandson, one of 135 descendants, told newspapers after Dhura's death on Wednesday that his secret to long life was "a strict diet based on eating food grown in his own fields, and regular walks".
According to the Guinness Book of Records, the oldest fully authenticated age to which any human has ever lived is 122 years and 164 days, by a French woman, Jeanne Louise Calment. She died in August 1997 -- SANAA (AFP)
