ALBAWABA - Early on Friday, Israel's military said it had intercepted a missile fired from Yemen that injured eighteen people. In reaction to the continued Israeli attack, the Houthis promised to intensify their activities.

The missile launch came a day after Israeli airstrikes hit a number of Yemeni targets, including the capital's oil and energy installations, as well as the coastal town of Hodeidah and Sana'a International Airport. Since the Gaza conflict started on October 7, 2023, in response to Hamas's "Al-Aqsa Flood" campaign, Israel has been attacking Yemen four times, including with these strikes.

The Houthis said they will make a big statement about the missile attack later, according to Al Jazeera. According to the Israeli army, the missile was stopped by its air defenses before it could enter Israeli airspace.

According to Israeli emergency services, 18 people were hurt in a stampede as residents in Tel Aviv and the surrounding regions hurried to shelters after hearing air raid sirens. As the sirens sounded across central Israel, including the Gush Dan region, images that Al Jazeera was able to collect showed Israelis evacuating to bomb shelters.

According to Israeli media, flight operations at Ben Gurion Airport were briefly halted during the warning but subsequently resumed.

The Houthis responded to the Israeli attacks on Thursday by threatening "escalation for escalation." According to Al-Masirah TV, which is connected with the Houthis, the organization is still dedicated to aiding Gaza in spite of Israeli attack.

Nassr Al-Din Amer, a Houthi official, reaffirmed the group's support for the Palestinian people and charged Israel of fabricating stories about its attacks on Yemeni military installations.

According to Israeli media, 100 aircraft were engaged in the raids on Yemen, which left 40 people wounded and six dead. They also damaged the Ras Issa oil facility in Hodeidah and Sana’a International Airport.

The World Health Organization verified that one of its employees was hurt during the Israeli attacks on Sana'a Airport, according to Al Jazeera.
