Yemen announced that it has shut down all of its international airports Monday after civil aviation authority workers officially announced they were going on strike, according to Reuters.
Workers decided to strike Monday due to "a dispute with the finance ministry regarding the independence of the civil aviation authority."
The finance ministry has allegedly frozen the civil aviation authority's assets as a result.
An official from the authority told Reuters that "The strike [will be] ongoing until our demands are met."
Sanaa, Aden and Mukalla airports will remain shutdown until the strike is over.
