World leaders of the Group of 77 and China end Doha summit

World leaders of the Group of 77 and China on Thursday ended the two-day South Summit amid calls to wealthy countries to honour pledges of additional aid to close the gap between the rich and poor. In his speech to the event, the King of Bahrain stressed that his country joins hands with other Arab states in the quest to develop the region, in an atmosphere of democracy and within the quest for achieving sustainable development.
