Over 600 women from around Dubai took part in the Go Red for Women campaign hosted at Deira City Centre recently, where they were educated on the prevention, diagnosis and control of cardiovascular disease.
In partnership with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the World Heart Federation, the mall hosted a free testing facility where all women shoppers could undergo BMI, blood pressure and cholesterol testing, including nutrition consultations with DHA Doctors. The total number of women who availed of the facility has broken all previous records from similar Dubai Health Authority initiatives.
Go Red for Women is part of a worldwide campaign to improve women's knowledge of the risk of heart disease and stroke. Deira City Centre is proud to support this as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
