Wissem Hmam, a prominent Tunisian striker, signed a five-year contract with the French club of Montpellier. <i>La Presse</i> reports that Hmam was announced as the best striker of World Champions in “Salle Omnisports 7 novembre des Radיs” in February 2005. Hmam is the second Tunisian player leaving his Tunisian club after his team mate Sobhi Sioud. Wissem Hmam, who received practically two equal offers one from Montpellier and another one from Barcelona, has decided on Montpellier, mainly following warm recommendations by his compatriot Sioud.
