ALBAWABA - U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that USS Abraham Lincoln was sent toward Iran, amid rising tension between Washington and Tehran and accusations that Iran has resumed working on its nuclear program despite last year's attacks by the U.S.
"We have a lot of ships going that direction, just in case … I’d rather not see anything happen, but we’re watching them very closely," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One.
This comes amid reports that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been relocated to a fortified underground shelter in Tehran amid fears of a U.S. strike on Tehran.
