Laughs, music, action and some lessons to learn is what children will get at the Ghorbal group's 'Mughamarat Tha'loub,' play at the Site and Sound Theater on Thursday.
"The fifteen member group will teach the children various social aspects of their life using interactive fun and music," explained the play's executive producer Ali Abbasi during rehearsals on Wednesday.
The main character in the play, Tha'loub, will take on the negative character in the play, a fox that all those 'naughty children' can identify with.
Sana', Tha'loub's new found friend plays the positive character, in other words she'll be the 'sugar and spice and all that's nice."
Tarek Rouhana, Tha'aloub, and the writer of the play, "has formed the everyday typical child issues of'don't cross the street without looking, or don’t talk to strangers, into musical pieces," he explained.
According to Nayef Khoury, the play's director/producer, the interactive essence of the play has been chosen after both formal and informal research.
"Children react well to plays that involve them," he said.
'Mughamarat Tha'loub,' is only one of the 36 plays conducted by Al-Ghorbal, an Arab cultural organization based in Shafa Amr, Israel.
