President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Saad Hariri met at Baabda Palace ahead of a Cabinet session Thursday, local media reported.
The 38 items on the Cabinet’s agenda focus primarily on financial and administrative matters, including bills calling for raising the minimum wage and the salaries of hundreds of state employees.
Despite speculation, the draft 2019 state budget does not appear on the agenda, though the issue may be put forward by Finance Minister Ali Hasan Khalil during the session as a “political topic.”
