Westcon ME, a leading value-added distributor of security, convergence and mobility products and solutions for leading technology vendors, has announced that it recently conducted a training session on Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions (EMS) focusing on the Enterprise WLAN technology.

“Our broad range of innovative enterprise Wireless LAN products and services is designed to fully complement and complete Internet Protocol networks. We recognize the importance of reliable, secured and highly manageable information in maintaining business viability. Motorola EMS along with Westcon ME’s extensive experience and expertise makes it a perfect partner for our expansion efforts into the Arab markets,” said Adnon Dow, Motorola’s Director for Advanced Technologies EMEA.

“Today’s highly competitive business climate requires more communications flexibility. Motorola’s wireless offerings assure users of safe, secure, seamless and superior wireless connectivity that can easily adjust to changing physical environments. We will continue to work on upholding Motorola’s leadership in the wireless field in the MEA region,” said Steve Lockie, Managing Director, Westcon Group.

Motorola’s comprehensive enterprise Wireless LAN portfolio includes wireless switches and access ports that support centralized and simplified wireless connectivity; access points designed for indoor and outdoor use; a full suite of Radio Frequency Management software; and 24-hour protection against network attacks and unauthorized access. Among the benefits of adopting Motorola solutions are reduced investment and ownership costs; maximum use of human resources; seamless and secure integration with existing IT infrastructure; and high-performance, centrally managed data transmission. Motorola supports this infrastructure by offering packaged services to avoid downtime and providing a platform to manage the WLAN infrastructure.

Motorola demonstrated the capabilities of its wireless LAN solutions during the channel training seminar on Wireless LAN products and services that was held from March 17 to 18, 2009 at the Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Media City. The seminar provided comprehensive sales, commercial and technical training on topics ranging from current Wireless LAN market trends and security strategies to Adaptive Access Points and the next generation of wireless solutions. During the event, Westcon also demonstrated its ability to efficiently market Motorola’s wireless portfolio.
