UN war crimes chief prosecutor Carla Del Ponte intends to file a new indictment next week against former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic on charges of genocide in Bosnia, deputy prosecutor Graham Blewitt told AFP on Monday.
"It is her desire to file the indictment next week," he said. However, he added: "the work on the indictment is still going on and it's not sure it'll be finished next week."
At the moment there are two indictments against Milosevic. One deals with war crimes and crimes against humanity in the 1998-99 Serb crackdown on ethnic Albanians in Kosovo. The other concerns the same offences but committed during the 1991-95 war in Croatia -- THE HAGUE, (AFP)
