Syrian rebel group Jaysh al-Islam (Army of Islam) has released a video showing the execution of 18 Daesh (ISIS) militants, mocking the extremists' productions, AFP reported Wednesday.

In the nearly 20-minute video, the rebels operating near Damascus wore orange jumpsuits like prisoners of Daesh. The Daesh militants wore black clothes and were chained together with shackles and metal balls.

Jaysh al-Islam fighters said the Daesh members were being executed as revenge for the beheadings of at least three of their group members. The rebels interrogated the extremists and showed "confessions" that said Daesh had focused its attacks on other opposition groups instead of the Syrian army.

The last part of the video showed Daesh members being executed by Jaysh al-Islam members with shots to the head.

Daesh has been fighting opposition groups since al-Nusra Front refused to merge with Daesh back in 2013. Last week a video released by Daesh showed the militants executing 12 members of rebel forces, including three from Jaysh al-Islam and one from Nusra Front.
