ALBAWABA - As violence escalates in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah released video footage on Friday showing rockets being fired into Israeli military installations.
The strikes, which were captured on March 21, targeted a number of Israeli locations, including Filon, Golani Junction, Naftali, and the Dado facility, which houses the Israeli army's Northern Command headquarters close to Safed, according to the group's military media.
Heavy smoke can be seen when rockets are fired in both daytime and nighttime launches captured on camera. A statement that the strikes were conducted "in defense of Lebanon and its people" concludes the video.
Increasing Conflicts
The publication coincides with continuous fighting in southern Lebanon on several fronts between Israeli forces and Hezbollah militants, especially in regions where Israeli ground incursions are occurring.
According to Hezbollah's military pronouncements, the group engages in dozens of operations every day, including direct confrontations with Israeli forces, drone strikes, and rocket firing.
Growing Death toll
At least four Israeli troops have died and several have been injured since the most recent escalation started earlier this month.
Citing ongoing Israeli raids on Lebanon despite a ceasefire deal struck in November 2024 and the killing of Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, Hezbollah initiated attacks on Israeli military installations and settlements on March 2, sparking the current round of warfare.
In response, Israel increased the scope of its military actions, launching limited ground incursions into southern Lebanon after conducting airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut and other parts of the nation.
According to Lebanon's Ministry of Health, 3,315 people have been injured and 1,142 people have died as a result of the continuing attacks.
