ALBAWABA - A fire erupted at an oil refinery in Baku, Azerbaijan, triggering a cloud of black smoke, emergency services confirmed on Wednesday.
Azerbaijan's Emergency Situations Ministry revealed that it received information about the fire that erupted in Baku’s Nizami district and teams were dispatched to the location to put out the blaze.
“Forces of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were immediately deployed to the area,” the statement read.
In addition, the authorities revealed that firefighters are on the scene at the refinery, but no other information about the reason behind the fire was released by the ministry.
