US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright is to pay an official visit to Ecuador on August 17th-18th, a presidential statement announced Saturday.
Albright will meet with President Gustavo Noboa and visit social projects supported by US aid, the statement said.
The top US diplomat's stop in Ecuador was expected to be part of her swing through three South American countries also including Chile and Argentina. Details of the trip have yet to be confirmed – QUITO (AFP)
