US grant for Yemen

The cultural attaché in the US embassy in Sana'ah has granted $492,000 as a fund for the feasibility study of a water project in the city of Taiz. An embassy press release said that the deputy US ambassador Nabil Khouri and deputy governor of Taiz Mohammed al-Haj exchanged the tenders in a ceremony earlier this week. According to <i>SABA</I>, the grant, from the US Trade and Development Agency, is meant to fund the feasibility study of the of a project to install a new system for the treatment of waste waters and studying the sanitation services in the city of Taiz
