ALBAWABA - In a surprising development, it has been revealed that US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was hospitalized last week due to complications arising from a recent surgery. The information was kept undisclosed for days, with President Joe Biden reportedly unaware of the situation.

The revelation that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was admitted to the hospital last week has sparked discussions, especially considering the prolonged secrecy surrounding the matter, which reportedly excluded President Joe Biden from being informed.

Acknowledging the oversight, Secretary Austin admitted that keeping such a significant development under wraps for days was a mistake, and he has taken responsibility for the lack of transparency.

The Pentagon chief was admitted to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Monday, where he remained for an extended period due to undisclosed medical complications, raising concerns about the clarity of communication within the administration.

Officials emphasize that Secretary Austin, despite being in the hospital, is actively fulfilling his duties. However, according to reports from reliable sources such as the Wall Street Journal, President Biden was not made aware of the Defense Secretary's days-long hospitalization.

In an article titled 'Biden Kept in the Dark About Pentagon Chief's Hospital Stay,' the Wall Street Journal reported:

'Administration officials revealed that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was admitted to the military hospital on New Year's Day, residing in the intensive care unit. However, critical information regarding his extended hospitalization was not communicated to President Biden.'

As the story unfolds, questions arise about the transparency of communication within the administration, particularly regarding significant events involving high-ranking officials such as Secretary Austin, who holds a key position in the decision-making process for the US military.
