UAE's General Secretariat of Municipalities (GSM) has decided to ban the import of beef, both frozen and fresh, from any of the European countries, exempting the dairy products from the ban, Khaleej Times reported Saturday.
A decision to this effect was taken at the 54th meeting of the GSM held in Dubai on Wednesday, the paper said, noting that the meeting also decided to ban the entry of canned meat manufactured by the French company Selpa as it was discovered lately to contain some pork -- Albawaba.com
