Some 54 cases of typhoid were detected in the Moroccan northern province of Tetouan, the official news agency of Morocco (MAP) reported, quoting the health department as saying.
The health authorities immediately took the necessary moves to contain the fever and treat infected people, the source was reported as saying, adding the latter are now safe.
