Two quakes hit Shiraz

In Iran, two earthquakes measuring 3.5 and 3.6 degrees on the open-ended Richter scale hit Shiraz in the  

southern province of Fars on Tuesday, the official IRNA news agency reported.  

 

The seismological base of Fars recorded both tremors at 01:07 (local time) and 06:38 (local time) on Tuesday.  

 

The epicenters of the tremors were registered in an area 50 kilometers from northwestern Shiraz.  

 

No report of casualties or property damage has been received thus far. (Albawaba.com)
