AFP reports that some Turkish troops are withdrawing from their base near Mosul, Iraq.
The state-run media Anadolu Agency reports that a press source in the Turkish military confirmed that a convoy of 10-12 vehicles left the Turkish base near Mosul and headed north.
The source revealed that Iraq and Turkey have discussed the matter and agreed to new arrangements.
It is unclear if additional troops will leave or be relocated elsewhere in Iraq.
On December 4, 150 Turkish soliders and at least 25 tanks arrived at a base outside of the Daesh stronghold of Mosul, Iraq. The Iraqi government was not informed of the arrival and has repeatedly requested that the Turkish government remove their forces immediately.
