Twenty-two suspected radical leftists were arrested by Turkish authorities on Wednesday in the southern city of Antalya, reports AFP.
The suspects, all students, were linked to the outlawed Marxist Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C).
The arrests follow the a hostage situation which took place on Tuesday in an Istanbul courthouse. A public prosecutor, identified as Mehmet Selim Kiraz, was taken hostage by three men at around 12:30 pm Turkish time on the on the sixth floor of the Okmeydani district courthouse.
He has since passed away from a fatal gunshot wound.
Kiraz was handling the case of Berkin Elvan, who was critically injured during the 2013 Gezi Park protests and died in March 2014 after being in a coma for 269 days.
