A Turkish military plane crashed during a training excercise in the central Turkish city of Konya, killing both pilots on board, reports Reuters.

According to an official statement, the F-4E jet departed from Eskisehir airbase and then crashed just one hour later.

"It crashed in Konya, for unknown reasons. The two pilots are dead. An investigation into the causes of the accident has been started," the statement read.

This is the second Turkish military aircraft that has crashed in the last two weeks. On February 25th, two planes crashed in Eastern Anatolia, killing all four military personnel on board. According to Turkey’s Chief of General Staff Necdet Özel, both jets took off from Malatya Erhaç 7th Air Base at 6:07 p.m. local time (1607 GMT) and disappeared from radar screens on 7:05 p.m. (1705 GMT).

A commercial Turkish airplane also crashed just yesterday in Nepal. The Turkish Airlines jet skidded off of a slippery runway at Kathmandu's Tribhuwan International Airport. Many of the 238 passengers reported injuries, but fortunately there were no causalities.
