Turkish artillery strikes have destroyed Daesh targets in northern Syria, the military said Monday.

In a statement, the Turkish General Staff said 58 positions in Aleppo province were hit Sunday, resulting in the deaths of about 40 militants. Two bomb-laden vehicles were also destroyed.

Separately, the Turkish air force targeted five PKK positions in northern Iraq’s Metina region overnight on Sunday.
