A high-ranking Turkish diplomat is due to hold talks in Israel this week to discuss improved cooperation between the two regional allies, the Turkish foreign ministry said on Tuesday.
Foreign ministry undersecretary Ugur Ziyal "will take up primarily bilateral ties as well as regional and international issues" with his Israeli counterpart Avi Gil in the course of a visit to Israel on Wednesday and Thursday, the statement said, according to AFP.
The discussions are in the framework of regular consultations between the two countries. (Albawaba.com)
