Floods caused by torrential rains hit two provinces that were devastated by the two massive Feb. 6 earthquakes, measuring 7.8 and 7.5 on the Richter scale. Nearly 56,000 people were killed in the earthquakes, which flattened buildings and damaged the infrastructure.
Turkish officials said search was underway to locate the missing individuals and that efforts were also centered on reopening roads clogged by the floods.
