Turkish security forces on Monday arrested 125 illegal immigrants, most of them Iraqis, in an eastern province bordering Iran, Anatolia news agency reported.
Amongst the detainees were 86 Iraqis and 25 Iranians. The remainder were from Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. The immigrants were taken into custody after roadside and ID checks in several parts of Van province.
Meanwhile, six Turkish men were also detained for allegedly helping them enter the country. (Albawaba.com)
