Turkey confirms Ankara attackers came from Syria

ALBAWABA - Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan said that the two bombers who attacked the Interior Ministry in Ankara entered the country from Syria days before the attack.

On Oct. 1, a blast was reported in the Turkish capital near the building of the Interior Ministry. 

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed that two officials in the Interior Ministry were slightly injured in the bombing.

"One of the terrorists blew himself up and the other terrorist was neutralized" Yerlikaya revealed in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Fidan condemned the suicide bombing in Ankara, calling it a"treacherous terrorist attack."

He wrote on his X account: "I wish a speedy recovery to our heroic police officers who were injured in this vile attack … We will continue our fight against terrorism with determination at home and abroad."
