Tunisian President outlines importance of rallying African Union efforts

Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali returned Monday night from Libya, where he took part in the African Union summit, <i>Akhbar Tunis</i> reported. In his speech, the Tunisian leader expressed his hope that the summit leads to outcomes that reflect the goals of the African people for development, integration and progress.

 

President Ben Ali that in the past four years the African Union, achieved important gains, especially in keeping abreast with the rapid international changes. He also underlined the importance of rallying African Union efforts so Africa can assume its due position.
