TOP SWISS HOTEL BECKONS MIDDLE EAST TRAVELLERS TO PRIX DE LAUSANNE

Middle East culture lovers can combine a luxury lakeside stay at top Swiss hotel the Beau-Rivage Palace, with the chance to watch rising young dance stars compete in one of the world’s most prestigious dance competitions next month.

The Prix de Lausanne is an international dance competition offering young people between 15 and 17 the chance to win a scholarship to one of the world’s elite ballet schools.

Young dancers from 24 different counties will be attending the six-day competition which culminates two days of shows at the Theatre de Beaulieu on 28th and 29th January.

Former winners of the competition, which has taken place annually for 35 years, have without exception gone on to join prestigious ballet companies around the world.

Throughout the event the Beau-Rivage Palace is offering one night in a superior or a deluxe room with a lake view, or in a comfort room with a garden view from just CHF 470 (approx US $360).

The price includes a welcome drink on arrival, breakfasts, tickets for the final competition on January 29, 2006, and access to the VIP aperitif after the show.

Surrounded by acres of private parkland sweeping down to the shores of Lake Geneva, the Beau-Rivage Palace is an oasis of peace and sheer luxury. Guests can enjoy use of the hotel’s fitness centre and tennis courts and can also take boat trips on the lake from the nearby quayside.

The hotel has also recently opened a new Cinq Mondes spa, offering a range of health and beauty treatments from all over the world.
