ALBAWABA - The Iraqi Seismological Monitoring Authority reported the detection of three earthquakes in the regions of Duhok and Kirkuk, situated in northern and central Iraq, Monday.
In an official statement, the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismological Monitoring, operating under the Iraqi Ministry of Transport, stated, "Our seismic monitoring stations at the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismological Monitoring have registered three earthquakes early on Monday in the Duhok and Kirkuk provinces, each with varying magnitudes," as reported by the Iraqi News Agency.
According to the Iraqi Seismological Monitoring Authority, the first earthquake had a magnitude of 4.7, and its epicenter was located 20 kilometers to the northeast of Kirkuk Province.
